What is ProBlogger?
ProBlogger is a full-service site that offers both tips and resources for people who want to start a blog.
How it works
There’s no need to sign up with ProBlogger, unless you want to get regular communication from them. This is primarily a free resource and an information site.
ProBlogger review
This site is completely free to use and it’s a wonderful resource for anyone contemplating creating a website or blog. The bulk of the site is made up of stories that can help you figure out how write and how to monetize your writing.
The site also sells courses and markets the ProBlogger podcast. Notably, if you’re launching a blog and have little writing and business experience, the site’s courses are reasonably priced and likely to prove helpful. Notably, too, given that ProBlogger has been operating since 2004, the amount and depth of resources here is truly remarkable and worthwhile for anyone in this market.
ProBlogger also hosts a job board that simply posts help wanted advertisements for content creators.
Many of these jobs are for content mills that propose to pay between 2 and 4 cents per word. And some of the jobs appear to be outright scams. So don’t expect to find the best jobs here.
But the job board is free to use and you don’t even need to provide an email address.
Recommendations
If you’re an aspiring writer — particularly if you hope to launch your own blog and make money through ads and affiliate marketing — you should bookmark this site. Founder Darren Rowse has also written a number of How-to books, helpful for aspiring bloggers. You can find ProBlogger here.
You may also want to sign up at other free job boards, such as Indeed and Glassdoor.
However, if you’re a seasoned writer or editor, you’ll find better jobs through Contently, Skyword and ServiceScape.
