ProBlogger Review:
ProBlogger is not going to offer you a job, but it hosts a job board where you can find one. There are no subscription fees; no catches. And the site offers all sorts of helpful advice to freelance writers, including how to safely apply to jobs (including those listed on the site); how to better format posts; and ways to use influencer outreach to make your blog more profitable.
How it works
This is a blog that’s dedicated to bloggers. The bulk of the site is made up of stories that can help you figure out how write and how to monetize your writing. The site also sells courses and markets the ProBlogger podcast.
However, ProBlogger also hosts a job board that simply posts help wanted advertisements for content creators. Many of these jobs are for content mills that propose to pay between 2 and 4 cents per word. And some of the jobs appear to be outright scams. So don’t expect to find the best jobs here. But the job board is free to use and you don’t even need to provide an email address.
Recommendations
If you’re an aspiring writer — particularly if you hope to launch your own blog and make money through ads and affiliate marketing — you should bookmark this site. Founder Darren Rowse has also written a number of How-to books, helpful for aspiring bloggers.
You may also want to sign up at other free job boards, such as Indeed and Glassdoor.
However, if you’re a seasoned writer or editor, you’ll find better jobs through Contently, Skyword and ServiceScape.
