Review:
If you are a seasoned professional looking for part-time, flexible or seasonal work, you can sign up at this site and get job listings sent to your email. FlexProfessionals specializes in finding jobs in Finance & Accounting, Administration, Sales & Account Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Development, Project Management, Technical & Proposal Writing, Human Resources, Web Development, Graphic Design and Legal.
There is no fee for job seekers. However, the site charges companies to fill positions. Although the jobs you find here are likely to pay less per hour than similar full-time positions and will not have benefits, they still pay better than average for part-time work. And job-seekers pay no fees.
That differentiates FlexProfessionals from FlexJobs, which charges a fee to get the site’s curated list of job opportunities. However, you can also find professional jobs through Indeed and Glassdoor, which are generic job-search sites that also earn high Husl$cores.
Serving small business
FlexProfessional’s employers are largely small businesses and non-profits that can’t immediately afford the pay and benefits required by a full-time workforce. The only strike against this site is its limited geographic reach. Jobs are mainly in Boston and Washington, D.C. and the site warns that even its remote positions sometimes favor workers in those two cities, since they may be required to make at least occasional appearances in the office.
We found only a handful of reviews. However, those reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Of course, given that FlexProfessionals doesn’t charge workers for its services, we didn’t expect to see a lot of complaints.
Recommendations
We see no downside with signing up with this company if you are looking for a job within its geographic reach. Also check out Onward Search, FreeeUp and AccountingDept.com. Also see our blog post about other professional job platforms that specialize in everything from tech to human resources.
What their users say (from Indeed)
I worked with FlexProfessionals from 2011 thru 2012. I worked for them again from July thru September 2019. They negotiate a good/great hourly rate (as most jobs are part-time) and represent their candidates and clients well.
This was a great place to strengthen my skills and gain experience in new areas. This was a positive collaborative environment that valued and respected their employees.
